Eminem paid tribute to his slain easiest friend and fellow rapper Proof at a packed funeral provider Wednesday that included emotional pleas to end violence within the city.

"Proof, he loved people, and people loved him. He was just a people magnet. When you first met him, you wanted to know more about him," stated Eminem, who wore a black suit and every so often wiped his eye as he stood by way of the gold-colored casket. "Without Proof, there would be no Eminem, no Slim Shady and no D12. You're the man."

The funeral program said the 2 men shared the "friendship of a lifetime" and incorporated several pictures of the pair in combination.

It had been Proof's concept to form D12, a group made out of him, Eminem and 4 other rappers, and Proof used to be the most efficient man at Eminem's wedding in January.

Eminem recounted a time when he was once Sixteen years outdated, and Proof came to his house and threw down a couple of brogues, telling him to position them on. Friends and lovers of the rapper lined up outside Fellowship Chapel smartly prior to the start of the two-hour funeral provider. Limousines coated the church's driveway.

Proof's casket, etched with his actual identify and his rap identify, was once performed of the church at the conclusion of the provider and used to be loaded onto a horse-drawn hearse.

Bender's cousin, Mario Etheridge, is suspected of capturing Proof and has been charged with wearing a concealed weapon and discharging a firearm in a building. He has pleaded not responsible and was released Sunday after posting a ,000 bond.

On Tuesday, prosecutors filed a civil suit geared toward shutting down the CCC because of what they are saying is a trend of criminal activity and liquor license violations on the club.
